Lidl delivery times in the Goldstone Retail Park
Lidl are opening a new store in the Goldstone Retail Park in Spring 2021. Local residents are objecting to proposed delivery times (planning ref: BH2021/00282) and the precedent it would set for neighbouring retailers and any future businesses here.

Until recently, the Council’s attitude to our neighbourhood has been one of ‘benign neglect’ of an area which is ‘out of sight and out of mind’. But the community’s work to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan has undoubtedly given our neighbourhood a much higher profile in the corridors of power.
Hove Station Footbridge – Progress at Last!
£15 million is being contributed by Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) in The Passenger Benefit Fund which will be used to provide benefits to passengers across the network. They are welcoming ideas from stakeholder groups and we want the Hove Station footbridge to be considered (see the attached newsletter). Train users are also encouraged to submit their ideas individually via The Passenger Benefit Fund website.
HSNF application for re-designation (2019)
In July2019 the Forum successfully applied for re-designation, as its initial 5-year term expired in September 2019. Having secured re-designation for an additional five years, our priority is to take account of the Regulation 14 Consultation responses and agree the final draft with the Council.
In parallel, the Forum is dealing with other key issues – working with its members and the wider local community in continuing engagement with major developers and the Council. These activities will shape the Regulation 16 Draft Neighbourhood Plan

Planning approved to ‘kickstart’ the regeneration of the Conway Street area will be a massive step towards the development of the new Hove Station Quarter envisaged in the Neighbourhood Plan.
